Key Responsibilities
- Second Line Representation: Act as the primary representative of the Second Line within the regulatory readiness program, ensuring robust engagement and oversight.
- Compliance Management: Oversee the management of compliance requirements specifically owned by Risk Management as well as related requirements owned by other functions. Ensure these requirements are met in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Program Effectiveness Challenge: Lead the challenge of the effectiveness of the regulatory readiness program from a Second Line perspective. Provide insights and recommendations for improvements where necessary.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various senior stakeholders across the organisation to foster a cohesive approach to regulatory readiness and compliance.
- Reporting and Documentation: Ensure comprehensive and accurate reporting on compliance and regulatory readiness activities, including documentation of assessments and action items.
- Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify potential risks associated with regulatory readiness and compliance activities and implement strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
- Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to team members and stakeholders on regulatory readiness, compliance requirements, and risk management best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor\’s degree in finance, business, law, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, or related fields within financial services.
- Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Experience in regulatory compliance transitioning and risk management principles.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with compliance management systems and risk assessment tools.
- Personal Attributes: High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively under pressure. Collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
