Position
SWIFT UK and Ireland is seeking a dynamic Relationship Manager with a dual focus: cultivating and expanding strategic partnerships across the UK and Ireland, and acting as the dedicated Territory Manager for the Channel Islands. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, fostering strong client relationships, and ensuring SWIFT's continued market leadership in these key regions.
Job Responsibilities
- Partnership Development & Management
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new strategic partners (e.g., technology providers, connectivity providers and platform providers) that align with SWIFT's product and service offerings in the UK and Ireland.
- Develop and execute comprehensive partnership strategies, including joint go-to-market plans, revenue share agreements, and collaborative product development initiatives.
- Manage the full lifecycle of partner relationships, from initial engagement and contract negotiation to ongoing performance monitoring and optimization.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key partners, ensuring their needs are met and maximizing their contribution to SWIFT's business objectives.
- Collaborate internally with product, sales, marketing, and legal teams to support partner initiatives and ensure seamless integration.
- Territory Management (Channel Islands)
- Manage and grow existing client relationships within the Channel Islands, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Channel Islands to expand SWIFT's footprint and market share.
- Understand the specific needs and regulatory landscape of financial institutions in Jersey and Guernsey.
- Develop and execute territory plans, including sales forecasts, account strategies, and client engagement models.
- Represent SWIFT at industry events, conferences, and client meetings in the Channel Islands.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to internal teams to inform product development and strategic planning.
- Drive the adoption of SWIFT's full suite of products and services, including new innovations.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, presentations, and business cases to partners and clients.
- Negotiate and close complex commercial agreements.
- Market & Product Expertise
- Maintain a deep understanding of SWIFT's products, services, and strategic initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes in financial services, particularly within the UK, Ireland, and the Channel Islands.
- Act as a subject matter expert for partners and clients on SWIFT solutions.
Job Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in relationship management, business development, or sales within the financial services or FinTech industry. Proven experience in developing and managing strategic partnerships is essential. Demonstrable track record of exceeding sales targets and growing client accounts. Experience working with financial institutions in the Channel Islands (Jersey, Guernsey) is highly desirable.
- Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong negotiation and presentation abilities. Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented. Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Travel: Ability and willingness to travel frequently across the UK, Ireland, and regularly to the Channel Islands as required by the role.
