About the Opportunity

Swift Education are working in partnership with a highly regarded specialist SEND school to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher for a permanent position starting in September. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism. The successful candidate will be passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.

Key Stage 2 Teacher Role

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to Key Stage 2 pupils within a specialist SEND setting. The role requires a creative, adaptable and proactive teacher who can provide a structured and nurturing learning environment tailored to individual needs.

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Previous experience teaching pupils with SEND, particularly autism
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A patient, resilient and positive approach
  • The ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • A collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • The energy and enthusiasm to participate in a practical, active school environment
  • Comfortable working in a physically active setting and able to support pupils throughout the school day

Requirements

This Key Stage 2 Teacher position is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs). Applicants should have prior teaching experience and a proven ability to work effectively within a SEND environment.
