Shape the voice of governance at the heart of global finance. At SWIFT, governance is not a formality — it safeguards the integrity of the global financial ecosystem.
Role Overview
We are creating a new role for a Regulatory & Governance Communications professional who will operate at the centre of Board engagement, shareholder communications, and regulatory transparency. This is a high‑visibility position working directly with Corporate Secretariat, Governance leaders, and Executive Management — ensuring our governance narrative is clear, credible, and trusted by stakeholders worldwide. If you enjoy translating complex regulatory and governance topics into compelling, precise communication that influences senior decision‑makers, this role offers a rare opportunity to make real impact.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Acting as the trusted communications advisor to Governance and Corporate Secretariat teams.
- Crafting high‑impact materials for:
- Board reporting
- AGM briefings
- Shareholder communications
- Governance updates
- Policy and regulatory communications
Why This Role Is Unique
You will operate at Board level. You will influence governance communications at global scale. You will shape messaging in a highly regulated, mission‑critical environment. You will work at the intersection of communications, regulation, and corporate governance. This is a newly created role — giving you the opportunity to define and elevate the function.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of experience in corporate communications, strategic communications, investor relations, or governance communications — ideally within financial services or a global organisation.
- Demonstrated experience drafting Board materials, governance updates, or regulatory communications.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills — with the ability to simplify complex regulatory topics without losing precision.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and executive presence.
- High discretion and sound judgement when handling sensitive information.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- A degree in Communications or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
The Profile That Will Thrive Here:
Detail‑oriented yet strategic. Comfortable engaging senior leaders and Board members. Able to operate independently in a matrixed, multicultural environment. Calm under pressure and confident navigating complex governance topics. Motivated by purpose and institutional impact.
What We Offer:
We give you control of your career. We provide a competitive package. We help you perform at your best. We give you the freedom to be yourself. We help you make a difference. We are creating an environment of unique individuals – like you – with different perspectives on the financial industry and the world. A diverse and inclusive environment in which everyone’s voice counts and where you can reach your full potential.
