We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi Skilled Maintenance Operative to join our maintenance team. This role involves performing a wide range of technical tasks to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment.
Shift: Monday to Friday: 5.30 am - 2.25 am
Pay: Hourly Rate £21.95, Shift Allowance £2.44
Skills & Experience:
- Completed a time-served engineering apprenticeship (desirable)
- Proven experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance (essential)
- Strong analytical mindset with effective problem-solving abilities (essential)
- Hands-on experience with preventative maintenance systems (essential)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings (essential)
- High attention to detail, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (essential)
- Calm, resilient, and effective under pressure (essential)
- Experience maintaining robotic systems (essential)
- Working knowledge of PLC systems (desirable)
- Confident using IT systems and maintenance software (essential)

Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of maintenance techniques within area of expertise

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure operational readiness and reliability of all equipment
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance in line with schedules and procedures
- Maintain equipment to maximise production uptime and efficiency
- Accurately log maintenance activities and update system records
- Identify and recommend improvements to enhance: Safety, Quality, Equipment performance, Cost efficiency
- Ensure clear and effective shift handovers (written and digital)
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Oversee site facilities, including compressors, boilers, chillers, fire systems, lighting, and general infrastructure
Additional Involvement:
- Support installation, commissioning, and acceptance of new equipment
- Participate in equipment upgrades, process improvements, and site changes
- Strictly adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
