We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative/FLT Driver for our well-established client in the Birmingham area. The job purpose is to maintain a high level of service to internal and external customers in a pro-active and cooperative manner at all times. The warehouse operation is a critical aspect of inventory management and the supply line, from which our clients expect a high standard of service and professionalism.
Shift hours: 08:45-16:45 Monday to Thursday, 08:45-16:15 Friday
Responsibilities:
- Perform functions related to the receipt, storage and despatch of physical goods.
- Pick, pack and despatch inventory for sales orders.
- Drive a reach and counterbalance fork lift trucks.
- Returns to be labelled and appropriate paperwork raised.
- Complete and process all applicable documentation for movement of goods and stock levels, adhering to company policy to maintain integrity of inventory records.
- Inventory management i.e. stock counting & stock rotation.
- Assist in maintaining the security of all warehouse stock and equipment.
- Assist with maintaining stock levels, locations, computer stock.
- Receive incoming inventory against purchase orders processing the relevant transactions as required.
- Liaising with third party transport/parcel couriers.
- Loading/unloading of trucks & containers.
- Check delivery for accuracy of quantity and specification. Identify and record as directed.
- Receive incoming consumables - forwarding appropriate paperwork for payment.
- Investigate any stock discrepancies and advise the Manager of any adjustments required.
- Any other warehouse administration duties as required.
- Contribute to team effort by performing related tasks as necessary and as directed by line Manager.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Warehouse & Stock Management experience essential.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
- Forklift Truck Licence (Reach/Counterbalance).
