Hiring: Fitter/Wireperson (Permanent)

Job Description We are a global leader in automated assembly and manufacturing equipment, and we are committed to creating a workplace where individuals can develop and grow. \n The Role \n As an Electrical Fitter you will work as part of a collaborative team to deliver high-quality assemblies, equipment, and solutions that meet our customers' exacting standards. n This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills, progress your career, and play a meaningful part in the companies continued success. \n Technical Duties & Responsibilities \n As an Electrical Fitter I, you will carry out a range of electrical assembly and installation tasks, working from drawings and instructions, and under supervision where required. \n Electrical Assembly & Installation \n · Cut, drill, deburr and prepare electrical containment (such as trunking, tray and conduit) \n · Install electrical containment systems in line with drawings \n · Carry out basic mechanical preparation to support electrical installation \n · Install electrical components and assemblies under supervision \n Wiring & Termination \n · Assist with panel wiring under supervision, including: \n o Control circuits \n o Low and high voltage circuits \n o Motors, plugs and sockets \n · Prepare and terminate cables, including multicore and screened cables \n · Carry out crimping and soldering tasks using approved tools and methods \n · Dress cables neatly and fit identification labels correctly \n · Support earthing and bonding activities under supervision \n Drawings, Quality & Documentation \n · Work from electrical drawings and wiring diagrams (with support where required) \n · Understand common electrical symbols \n · Complete job documentation accurately using company systems \n · Follow approved engineering change and quality processes \n Maintenance & Support \n · Assist with electrical fault finding and basic maintenance activities \n · Support electrical checks during machine build and handover \n · Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area in line with 5S standards \n Learning & Development \n · Develop knowledge of the equipment and systems through hands-on experience and training \n · Learn different product lines over time as skills develop \n · Take part in training, mentoring and continuous improvement activities \n · Support new starters and apprentices when appropriate \n Skills, Knowledge & Experience \n · Ability to follow engineering drawings and technical documentation \n · Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment \n · Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality \n · A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn \n · Good communication skills and a team-focused mindset \n \n Full training will be provided on equipment and systems.
