Our well established engineering client in Hereford are looking for a skilled MIG Welder Fabricator to join their existing team due to an increasing order book.
To be able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
- Mark out sections and components in line with detailed drawings prior to assembly.
- Work to the company's Health & Safety requirements.
- Understand and work to client specifications.
- Keep work area clean and tidy.
Welding Responsibilities:
- Welders to work on mild / stainless steel of varying grades and thicknesses marked up with weld details.
- Types of welding will be fillet welding and butt welding consisting of both full penetration and partial penetration joints.
- Welding in both down hand and in position, predominantly using the MIG / MAG welding processes.
- Successful applicants will be expected to adhere to governing welding procedure specifications.
- To have a good knowledge of all aspects of welding operations such as application of preheat, control of interpass temperatures etc., and generally a good knowledge surrounding the process.
