Hours: Rotating shifts, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a busy operations team. This role will involve maintaining and repairing plant and site equipment through both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out routine inspections of site equipment
  • Performing planned preventative maintenance
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues
  • Responding quickly to breakdowns
  • Maintaining key spare parts and equipment
  • Keeping accurate maintenance records
  • Supporting general repair and upkeep of the building
  • Scheduling PPM and repairs where required
  • Liaising with contractors on site when needed
  • Maintaining a clean and organised maintenance area

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in maintenance engineering
  • Good mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
  • Experience working with process or production equipment
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A flexible and practical approach to work
  • Formal engineering or maintenance qualifications would be desirable
  • Electrical qualifications such as City & Guilds or equivalent would be advantageous
