Temporary (contractor) position within the production team, predominately based on the line build, installing product into a variety of vehicle types. However, there will also be a requirement to work in other areas/departments (Sub assembly) to satisfy business needs.
The role involves working as part of a team to achieve set production targets and being responsible for the correct assembly of all aspects of the vehicles built at Obelix Systems Limited to current working practices and company procedures. This could include mechanical, electrical and fabrication work as and when required.
This role requires:
- Proven track record as a mechanical fitter
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (an allrounder)
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and follow instructions
- Complete installations to a high quality of build and in a timely manner
- Good understanding of basic manual tasks and proficiency in the use of manual assembly hand tools
- Adaptability to a changing production environment
- Diligent and conscientious individual
- Ability to help improve production techniques by providing feedback as and when required
- Advantageous - Ability to fault find and repair
The candidate will report directly to the Production Manager. Hours of work will be 7.00am to 15.30pm Mon-Fri, - 40 hours basic. Overtime will be worked at the manager's discretion and depend on current business needs.
