Hours: Monday-Thursday, 39 hrs per week (4 day week)

Salary: £29-31K per annum

Swift Gloucester are currently recruiting for an experienced Assembly Technician to join a growing engineering team based in Gloucester. The successful candidate will be responsible for building sub-assemblies, working to drawings as well as servicing and repairing. Hydraulic and Pneumatics experience required for the role.

As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Installing and fitting hydraulic attachments to hydraulic & pneumatic sub-assemblies
  • Managing repairs and driving quality standards
  • Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and mechanical faults
  • Carrying out inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance
  • Supporting customers with technical advice and equipment solutions
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high engineering standard
  • Maintaining a clean, organised workshop and working environment

Skills & Experience Required

You will ideally have:

  • Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic sub-assemblies
  • Understanding of hydraulic systems, valves, cylinders, and components
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
  • Experience servicing and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude

Desirable Experience

Any experience with the following would be advantageous:

  • Hydraulic & pneumatics
  • Interpreting engineering drawings
  • Mechanical fitting / assembly
