Swift Gloucester are currently recruiting for an experienced Assembly Technician to join a growing engineering team based in Gloucester. The successful candidate will be responsible for building sub-assemblies, working to drawings as well as servicing and repairing. Hydraulic and Pneumatics experience required for the role.
As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Installing and fitting hydraulic attachments to hydraulic & pneumatic sub-assemblies
- Managing repairs and driving quality standards
- Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and mechanical faults
- Carrying out inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance
- Supporting customers with technical advice and equipment solutions
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high engineering standard
- Maintaining a clean, organised workshop and working environment
Skills & Experience Required
You will ideally have:
- Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic sub-assemblies
- Understanding of hydraulic systems, valves, cylinders, and components
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
- Experience servicing and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
Desirable Experience
Any experience with the following would be advantageous:
- Hydraulic & pneumatics
- Interpreting engineering drawings
- Mechanical fitting / assembly
