We are recruiting for an experienced People Trainer to work with the L&D Team for our client on a permanent basis based in Thirsk.
The Role:
Reporting to the People Development Manager, you will work closely with our L&D and wider teams to ensure delivery of all training across various sites including the site based in Dishforth and Devenish site in Widnes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with People Development and Operations Managers to plan and deliver training on company policies and procedures.
- Liaise with People Development Team and Operations Managers to ensure teams are fully trained and competent in all relevant training (SOPs, mandatory compliance training etc).
- Assist with full training cycle.
- Assist with updating employee training aids/manuals, SOPs to ensure H&S and Quality compliance.
- Complete regular competency checks.
- Support the People Development team with the Learning Management System.
- Coordinate/deliver employee inductions.
- Work with the People Development Manager to support the wider business with their overall development needs.
- Support new employees across the business, including regular check-ins, 1:1 training and mentoring.
- Any other duties as requested by management.
- Taking HSE ownership of themselves, others & activities within their areas of responsibility and raising all HSE concerns they become aware of, outside their areas of responsibility, with relevant managers.
Criteria:
- Minimum 2 years experience within a similar role.
- Experience of delivering full training cycle.
- Experience in a production environment.
- IOSH qualified (or working towards).
- Good IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Packages.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to show initiative, work on their own and as part of a team.
- Initiate and drive change and improvement to deliver results.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach for internal customers.
- Full driving licence with access to a car.

Working hours:
8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday; however, please note some staff training will be required on the back shift and night shift, so alternative hours will be required to be worked on those few occasions. Travel, accommodation and full expenses will be paid including the use of the company pool car.
