Swift Temps Ltd are recruiting for an Maintenance Engineer to work for our client on a permanent basis based at their Dishforth site.
The Role:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful Maintenance Engineer for this day shift role will have responsibility of providing engineering support to the production team.
Responsibilities:
- Working as a maintenance engineer to carry out all planned, preventative and corrective maintenance tasks in accordance with maintenance systems
- Investigate, root cause analyses and resolve problems relating to machines and provide support for process and quality issues
- Ensure all related documentation & record keeping for the shift is up to date
- Provide comprehensive breakdown information and actions taken to support the planned maintenance system
- Adhere to all Health & Safety guidelines and requirements
Essential Criteria:
- Time served qualification and a minimum of 2 years experience in a maintenance engineering role
- Good working knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems
- Good working knowledge of product transfer systems including elevators, drag-chain and auger feed systems
- Experience in troubleshooting and fault finding
- Good organisational and time management skills
- An ability to work on own initiative but also to work collaboratively with others
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production and engineering environment
- Flexible and adaptable
- Proactive and motivated with the ability to resolve intricate situations
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience within a production/ manufacturing environment
- Mechanically biased experience
- Must have previous experience working as a maintenance engineer
