Swift Placements are working with a leading provider of environmental, animal and human health solutions. Our client is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanically Biased) on a permanent full-time basis located in York Dishforth. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager and will provide engineering support to the production team.
Full Time Permanent position
Working Hours: 48-hour week, Thursday - Sunday or Friday - Monday, 6am - 6pm

Salary: Up to £35,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Responsibilities:
- Perform planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
- Troubleshooting: Conduct root cause analysis and resolve machinery issues, supporting process and quality improvements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including breakdown reports and actions taken.
- Provide comprehensive breakdown information and actions taken to support the planned maintenance system.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance work adheres to health and safety guidelines.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience: Time-served Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias background with a minimum of 2 years experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems; experience with product transfer systems such as elevators, drag-chain, and auger feed systems.
- Problem-Solving: Proven troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational abilities with a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production and engineering environment.
- Flexible and adaptable.
