SWIFT Temps Ltd Driving Recruitment Division are currently recruiting for an experienced 7.5 tone Van Delivery Driver to work for our client based in Morley, Leeds.
The job:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our clients delivery service team as a 7.5 T Delivery Driver, you`ll play a key role in serving their customers, ensuring their orders are delivered without a hitch.
Duties:
- Must be able to lift white goods such as washing machines, fridges, freezers and other electrical items with another team member
- Must be prepared to work in the warehouse when needed
- Be prepared to work in the warehouse when needed odd days
- You`ll be out on the road, driving one of their 7.5-tonne vans and working alongside an assistant to fulfil their high-quality home delivery service.
- At every touchpoint during delivery, you`ll be acting as a professional representation of the company brand.
- You`ll be hands-on in this physical role, so you might be lifting sometimes heavy items, alongside your driver assistant. But don`t worry, their vehicles are loaded for you ahead of your shift so you can focus on getting on your way.
- Every step of the way, you`ll go the extra mile by providing an exceptional service to each and every customer.
To Apply You Must Have:
- Confident driver: We`ll need you to have a full Class C1 UK/EA licence with no more than 6 penalty points to drive a 7.5 T vehicle with a CPC card (and ideally) Tachograph.
- The ability to handle heavy stock, heavy lifting will be required.
- People-first: You will have a friendly and personable nature, with a passion for great service and making our customers happy!
Shift Pattern:
- 45 hours per week – rolling 5 on 3 off over Monday to Sunday
- Pay rate £13.80 per hour PAYE In addition you accrue holiday pay
- 7:30am start to work a 11.5 hour shift
This is a temporary role with a view to go permanent for the right applicant after 12 weeks
