Bodywork Technician / Painter Location: Tipton Salary: £30,000£35,000 per year, depending on experience Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Swift Temps are currently recruiting for an experienced Bodywork Technician / Painter to join a busy automotive operation in Tipton. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows their way around vehicle bodywork, from assessing damage and repairing panels through to preparing and painting vehicles to a high standard.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Inspecting vehicles and assessing bodywork damage Producing accurate repair estimates and entering parts information onto the relevant systems Carrying out bodywork repairs and restoring damaged components Straightening, shaping, aligning and fitting body panels and components Preparing vehicles for paint Painting vehicles to a high standard Checking completed work to ensure quality and accuracy Following safe working practices and maintaining a clean and organised working environment About You We're looking for someone with: At least 3 years' experience in vehicle body repair, automotive repair, a dealership or similar environment A strong understanding of vehicle bodywork and repair techniques Experience preparing vehicles for paint and carrying out painting work Technical qualifications or equivalent hands-on experience Experience with damage assessment and repair estimates would be advantageous Good communication skills in English A practical, hands-on approach and good attention to detail The ability to work independently as well as part of a team A willingness to learn and develop your skills A Category B driving licence Willingness to provide a certificate of no criminal record What's on Offer £30,000£35,000 salary depending on experience Full-time permanent position Paid holiday and holiday pay Training on new vehicle technologies Modern, cutting-edge working environment Opportunity to develop your skills within the automotive sector If your application is successful you will receive a call from Swift Temps NW - Deeside Branch on 01244728137.
