Swift Temps Ltd are currently recruiting for NIGHT Shift Parcel Sorters to join our client based in Selby, North Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to be part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced warehousing environment.
IMMEDIATE STARTS AVAILABLE
Shift & Pay
- PAY RATE: £13.73 per hour after 12 weeks £14.65, overtime paid at higher rates
- Working Pattern: Shift Times: 10PM – 7AM / 7.30AM, Schedule: 5 - 7 days a week, full time work (Scheduled day’s off in the week)
What you will be doing
- Sorting parcels on the conveyor belt to ensure they are correctly organised for dispatch
- Working in a warehouse environment
- Placing sorted parcels into cages, preparing them for timely dispatch to their respective destinations.
- Keeping the sorting area clean and organised to ensure smooth operations and safety.
- Following all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Operate scanners to update parcel statuses and facilitate efficient warehouse distribution
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities by preparing parcels for dispatch or receipt
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to handle packages of varying sizes and weights
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of all shipments
- Support inventory management through proper filing and record-keeping practices
Requirements
- Previous warehouse or parcel sorting experience preferred but not essential as full training is provided.
- Flexibility to work a 5-day week including weekends.
- Good awareness of health and safety practices.
- Own safety boots and PPE required.
