Swift Temps Ltd is recruiting for a hands-on Machine Shop Team Leader for our client based in Bradford to lead the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the Machine Shop on the Night shift, ensuring production is achieved in line with quality, delivery, and safety requirements. The department utilizes purpose-built drilling, tapping, and assembly machines, alongside manual assembly stations. You will directly supervise a dedicated shift team, allocate work, maintain standards and ensure smooth running of the department during the night shift. As the senior responsible person on-site during the night shift, you will oversee both the people and the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record supervising teams in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Good communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic IT skills, including the ability to maintain production and performance records.
- Technical Skills: Experience operating or setting drilling, tapping, or purpose-built assembly machinery.
