Job description: Job Overview SWIFT Temps Ltd Industrial Recruitment Division are recruiting for a Lead/ Cover Milk Delivery Driver in Leeming.

The successful applicant will be required to assist with building of new doorstep milk rounds, assisting other drivers with the introduction of a high volume of new customers each week.

This role also involves safely operating delivery vehicles to distribute milk and dairy products efficiently to various locations at a short notice.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong driving skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to manage delivery routes with precision.

Hourly rate: £15.14 rising to £15.64 after 6 months with a £500 bonus Working hours: Night shift 10PM to 7:30AM - 4 nights a week, approx. 36 - 38 hours.

Friday and Saturday nights off.

Responsibilities Lead daily delivery operations, ensuring timely and accurate distribution of milk products to retail outlets, farms, or distribution centers.

Operate commercial vehicles with professionalism, adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations.

Assist in route planning and navigation to optimize delivery efficiency and reduce transit times.

Oversee loading and unloading activities, including heavy lifting of dairy products, ensuring proper handling and storage.

Ensure vehicle maintenance is performed regularly; report any mechanical issues immediately.

Uphold safety standards at all times, promoting a culture of safety within the team.

Qualifications Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a commercial or food distribution setting.

Valid drivers license with a clean driving record Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safe driving practices.

Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly.

Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.

Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Demonstrated leadership qualities or experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
