Hourly Rate: £13.47
Job Purpose:
To deliver a range of landscape gardening and grave digging services across parks, open spaces, and the Cemetery. This includes the installation, maintenance, and removal of park furniture and play equipment, horticultural upkeep, and cemetery operations. The role requires adherence to health and safety procedures and sensitivity to the nature of cemetery duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake a variety of landscape gardening tasks, including the repair, installation, and removal of park infrastructure such as benches, bins, bollards, and drainage systems.
- Support the delivery of horticultural maintenance within the Council’s Cemetery.
- Maintain high standards of customer care and demonstrate sensitivity when working in the Cemetery environment.
- Assist in the general upkeep of Cemetery grounds, including litter picking and bin emptying.
- Carry out grave digging duties as required, using mechanical diggers in line with safe working procedures.
- Operate horticultural machinery and perform gardening tasks as necessary.
- Assist with the installation, removal, and maintenance of playground equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety policies and procedures.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties assigned by management, appropriate to the role.
