Location: BD4 Division: Engineering – SWIFT Temps Ltd, Bradford Office Salary range: £31,000 - £39,000 per annum pro rata (PAYE) + Holiday Accrual

SWIFT Temps Ltd is currently recruiting on behalf of our valued client in Bradford 4 for a part-time Health & Safety Officer, on a 12 week temp-perm basis.

About our client

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join our client’s manufacturing site in Bradford.

You will be responsible for promoting a strong health, safety and environmental culture while ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor H&S policies, procedures and risk assessments.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and investigate accidents, incidents and near misses.
  • Ensure compliance with H&S legislation and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate H&S records and reports.
  • Develop and maintain emergency procedures and coordinate drills.
  • Arrange testing, servicing and maintenance of H&S equipment.
  • Provide guidance on PPE and safe working practices.
  • Lead regular H&S meetings with the site leadership team.
  • Monitor PPM schedules and ensure inspections and servicing are completed on time.
  • Identify opportunities to continually improve H&S standards.

About You

  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent H&S qualification; NEBOSH Certificate preferred.
  • Previous H&S experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineering or a similar environment.
  • Good knowledge of UK H&S legislation and best practice.
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify risks and implement practical solutions.
  • Good IT/Microsoft Office skills.

First Aid and Fire Safety qualifications are desirable but not essential.
