Objective / purpose of the position: Responsible for delivering a high standard of maintenance and engineering support to our manufacturing department. You will provide technical support to our production lines by problem-solving, ensuring high maintenance standards and working on improvement projects.
Fundamentals of the position:
- Fault-finding, interrogation and repair on a wide range of production equipment.
- Maintenance activities - both planned and ad-hoc.
- Operation of a computerised maintenance management system.
- Ensure all electrical work is carried out in accordance with all safety standards.
- Participate and pro-actively seek cost saving opportunities.
- Respond to all equipment breakdowns as instructed.
- Participate in training and on-the-job learning.
- Support team objectives and continuous improvement activities.
- Perform any other reasonably requested duties where necessary.
- Demonstrate the Dawn Values and Core Behaviours.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of mechanical & electrical processes, both hands on & theory, holding a minimum of HNC/HND as a qualified electrical/multi-skilled engineer.
- Demonstrates a high level of personal responsibility and accountability for results.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong, collaborative relationships.
- Demonstrate a 'can do attitude'.
Training & Capability:
- Must be able to read and interpret electrical drawings including schematics & circuit diagrams.
- Some of the following electrical experience: 3 phase, star / delta motors, sensors, inverters, PLC fault finding, contactors, relays, servo drives.
- Attend calls out of hours if needed.
- Shift work 6-2 / 11-7.
