SWIFT Temps Ltd Industrial Recruitment Division are recruiting for a dedicated and reliable Doorstep Milk Delivery Driver in Leeming. In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering fresh milk and dairy products directly to customers' doorsteps, ensuring timely and accurate service. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and physical stamina to handle daily delivery routes efficiently. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a community-focused service that emphasizes quality and customer satisfaction.
Hourly rate: £14.14 rising to £14.64 after 6 months with a £250 bonus for part time and £500 bonus for full time.
Working pattern: Approx. 18-19 hours a week over 2 nights or 36-38 hours a week over 4 nights, approx. 11pm to 7am. Friday and Saturday nights off.
Duties:
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport milk and dairy products to residential customers across designated routes.
- Load, unload, and organize deliveries in the vehicle to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Verify delivery orders against customer requests and ensure correct items are delivered.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times, product inquiries, or issues.
- Handle heavy lifting of crates or boxes of dairy products during loading and unloading processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of the delivery vehicle to ensure safety standards.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during deliveries.
- Keep detailed records of deliveries made, including any discrepancies or customer feedback.
- Assist with warehouse organization when not on delivery routes to support inventory management.
Skills:
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with commercial driving and familiarity with local traffic regulations.
- Physical ability to lift heavy crates or boxes repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong communication skills for effective customer interactions.
