About the Role

SWIFT Temps Ltd Driving Recruitment Division are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and professional Class 2 Trunking (Category C) Driver based in Exeter. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for an experienced driver looking to secure long-term employment with a well-established company. The role offers a varied workload, combining driving, yard duties and customer service. You will be responsible for collecting waste bins, servicing customer sites and transporting waste from Exeter to Avonmouth for incineration, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures.

What will I be doing?

  • Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
  • Carry out scheduled bin collections and uplifts.
  • Undertake general yard duties as required.
  • Service customer sites in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Transport waste from Exeter to Avonmouth for incineration.
  • Complete daily vehicle defect checks and report any issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive and company procedures.
  • Accurately complete delivery and collection paperwork.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
