Postal Delivery & Van Driver (3.5T)

Contract Type: Full-Time / Temporary
Pay Rate: £13.37 per hour (enhanced rates available for unsociable hours)
Working Hours
37 hours per week
5 days per week between Monday and Saturday
Candidates must be available to work every Saturday during the seasonal peak period
Weekday shifts will be on a rotating schedule (4 days between Monday-Friday)
Shift Options
Please note you need to select a preferred shift.
- Morning Shift: 09:00 – 15:00
- Afternoon Shift: 14:00 – 20:00

Postal Delivery Worker – Driving Required
Delivering more than mail, delivering a difference. Are you someone who thrives outdoors, enjoys being on the move, and takes pride in making a difference? Swifttemps are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals to join our team of Postal delivery workers working for Royal Mail.
What You\’ll Be Doing
You will start your day at the delivery office, where you\’ll load your vehicle with mail and parcels. You\’ll then drive to your designated area and complete your deliveries on foot. With the help of a handheld device, you\’ll track deliveries, capture customer signatures, and follow the efficient route mapped out for you.
This is a physically active role that keeps you fit, focused, and connected to your community.
What We\’re Looking For
We\’re seeking dependable individuals who bring energy, care, and commitment to every doorstep. You will need to have the following in order to complete this job role:
- A full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
- Confident driving skills with an ability to drive a small van
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Physical fitness: able to lift up to 16kg and walk up to 20,000 steps daily
- Resilience to work in all weather conditions
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently
- Flexibility to adapt to changing delivery routes
