SWIFT Temps Ltd Engineering Recruitment Division is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Permanent experienced, time-served CNC Miller / Turner in Bradford. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable company. This role requires a highly skilled individual who can work independently, read engineering drawings, and take responsibility for the quality of their own work.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set, and operate CNC milling and turning machines
- Work with Siemens or Fanuc control systems (Doosan VMC)
- Interpret and work accurately from engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Ensure all machined components meet quality standards and tolerances
- Perform machine set-ups, tool changes, and program adjustments where required
- Inspect finished components using appropriate measuring equipment
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment
- Work with a variety of materials including plastics, aluminium, and stainless steel
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Time-served CNC Miller / Turner
- Experience with Siemens or Fanuc CNC controls
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience programming, setting, and operating CNC machines
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Experience machining a range of materials including plastics, aluminium, and stainless steel
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with offline programming using Edgecam
- Previous experience working on Doosan VMC machines
