The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable company. This role requires a highly skilled individual who can work independently, read engineering drawings, and take responsibility for the quality of their own work.

Salary: £17.00 per hour to £20.00 D.O.E

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 15:30

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set, and operate CNC milling and turning machines
  • Work with Siemens or Fanuc control systems (Doosan VMC)
  • Interpret and work accurately from engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Ensure all machined components meet quality standards and tolerances
  • Perform machine set-ups, tool changes, and program adjustments where required
  • Inspect finished components using appropriate measuring equipment
  • Maintain a safe and organised working environment
  • Work with a variety of materials including plastics, aluminium, and stainless steel

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Time-served CNC Miller / Turner
  • Experience with Siemens or Fanuc CNC controls
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience programming, setting, and operating CNC machines
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Experience machining a range of materials including plastics, aluminium, and stainless steel

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with offline programming using Edgecam
  • Previous experience working on Doosan VMC machines
