Class 2 LGV Driver – Waste & Recycling Employer: SWIFT Temps Ltd – Driving Recruitment Division Location: Rotherham, Hellaby Depot, S66 8QL Pay Rate: £13.26 per hour (PAYE) Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week Job Types: Full-time, Contract ongoing work About the Role: SWIFT Temps Ltd is currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 LGV Driver to join the waste collections and recycling team supporting the local authority in the Rotherham area. This is an ongoing role, offering consistent work and a structured four-day week. Key Responsibilities: * Working as part of the Waste Collection Team based at Hellaby Depot, you will safely carry out waste collections across the Borough, this will include the collection of all waste and recyclables from household and commercial properties. * Drive a refuse collection vehicle on assigned rounds * Work as part of a team collecting domestic waste and recyclables * Carry out a variety of physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions * Maintain high safety standards and compliance with operational procedures * You must be able to walk distances at a minimum of 8 to 10 miles per day as this is a physically demanding role, must be able to push and pull bins of various sizes over various distances and gradients in all weather conditions. * It is essential you have a good understanding of health and safety requirements in the workplace and possess the necessary skills in terms of excellent customer care to represent the Council in the delivery of front-line services. * You will be required to input daily updates on the Bartec ‘in cab’ system and report contamination, participation of collections and ensure that customers receive the appropriate information, bin tag, leaflet etc. Requirements: * Minimum 2 year of Class 2 (LGV) driving experience * Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points * Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tacho Card * Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks * Previous refuse or recycling driving experience is desirable * Free on-site parking Click to Apply: CLICK TO APPLY Please Note: This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of SWIFT Temps Ltd Driving Recruitment Division, which operates as an employment business
