SWIFT Temps Ltd is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 LGV Driver to join the Waste & Recycling team supporting the local authority in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity offering consistent full-time hours across a structured four-day working week.
As part of the team, you will be responsible for the collection of domestic refuse, commercial waste bins, and household bulky waste items, ensuring safe and efficient waste removal across various routes in the area.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle across assigned routes
- Collect domestic waste, commercial bins, and bulky household waste
- Work alongside a team of loaders to complete scheduled collections
- Perform manual handling and loading tasks in all weather conditions
- Adhere to all health & safety and operational procedures at all times
- Complete basic vehicle checks and report defects as required
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience driving Class 2 (LGV) vehicles
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Physically fit and comfortable performing hands-on, active work
- Prior experience in waste collection or recycling is desirable but not essential
- Ongoing, stable work with the local authority
- Structured 4-day working week
