About the Role

SWIFT Temps Ltd Driving Recruitment Division is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for 2 experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Cover Drivers to join their transport operation based in Bradford, BD4.

This is an excellent opportunity for flexible and professional drivers who enjoy variety in their work.

As a Cover Driver, you will work across a range of different contracts, supporting the operation wherever required.

Duties will vary from yard shunting to RDC trunking and delivery work, offering a diverse and rewarding role.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Safely operating a Class 1 (C+E) HGV vehicle.
  • Carrying out yard shunting duties when required.
  • Completing RDC trunking and delivery work.
  • Conducting daily vehicle safety checks.
  • Completing all relevant transport documentation accurately.
  • Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely.
  • Following all road transport legislation and company procedures.
  • Providing reliable cover across a variety of contracts and operational requirements.
  • What We Are Looking For
  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification.
  • Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Previous Class 1 driving experience.
  • Experience with RDC work and/or shunting is desirable but not essential.
  • A flexible, reliable, and professional approach to work.
  • Good communication skills and a strong understanding of driver compliance.
