We're looking for a Senior Consultant to join the team. This is a delivery role - working on complex programmes, supporting clients, and making sure delivery happens for our clients.
About Swift Strategies
Swift Strategies is a leading digital, data and technology consultancy specialising in transformation. We partner with government departments, public bodies and education organisations to deliver strategic, user-centered solutions that improve services and outcomes for users.
The Role
You will support the delivery of complex digital transformation programmes across public and private sector clients, working across both agile and waterfall environments. You'll take ownership of workstreams, monitor budgets, manage stakeholder relationships, and help identify and resolve blockers to delivery. You'll work closely with senior team members and clients, contribute to proposals and client presentations, and share knowledge to promote delivery excellence across the team. In short: you're someone people rely on to keep things moving and delivered properly.
What We're Looking For
You'll be comfortable in complex environments and confident in taking ownership of your work. You likely have:
- Experience in consultancy or delivery roles within the UK public and/or private sectors
- A good understanding of agile delivery, GDS standards and digital service design principles
- A good understanding of waterfall delivery principles
- Experience managing tasks within complex, multi-stakeholder programmes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- The ability to balance multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity whilst driving measurable outcomes
- Strong communication skills - able to convey complex and technical concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders
- People management skills - helping set individuals up for success and building effective team environments
- Experience using metrics and performance data to identify and improve delivery challenges
- Experience working with central government departments or NHS (highly desirable)
- Relevant qualifications in delivery methodologies (Scrum, PRINCE2, SAFe, Lean Kanban or similar) and related disciplines (BA, Product Owner, Business Change) are advantageous.
Your Approach
You'll thrive here if you:
- Get stuck in, contribute to a diverse team, and take ownership
- Listen well, challenge constructively, and adapt when things change
- Build strong collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues
- Make decisions based on the wider context and impact on delivery
- Recognise when something isn't working and encourage a mindset of experimentation
- Love sharing knowledge — with the team and with clients
- Are passionate about developing and coaching more junior colleagues
Culture
Swift is a people-first consultancy. You'll thrive here if you're down to earth, reliable, and easy to work with. You do what you say, you will. You bring ideas, energy, and personality. This is a team of high performers who genuinely enjoy working together.
Is This You?
This role suits someone who enjoys being hands-on, is comfortable in fast-moving environments, and wants to keep progressing into more senior roles. If you prefer structure, layers, and handovers, this won't be for you. If you like solving problems, getting stuck in and making things happen, you'll probably enjoy it here.
