Join Swift’s Compliance team

Swift strives to operate in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and Swift’s Compliance team has the mission to make that happen. The Compliance department has recently launched a major governance and regulatory change programme. As a result our team is expanding and we are looking for experienced and enthusiastic regulatory change professionals to guide us through the evolving landscape. This senior position offers a unique opportunity to help shape and embed regulatory approaches that are fit for purpose, robust, and scalable across the organisation, ensuring they are fully integrated into governance, decision making and business processes.

What to expect

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies to ensure compliance with current and upcoming regulations, as well as leading change initiatives to adapt to these changes. You will play a crucial role in influencing stakeholders and shaping the organisation’s approach to regulatory matters. You will act as a strategic partner to the business ensuring that the organisation can navigate the complexities of the regulatory environment while achieving its objectives.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Developing and Implementing Regulatory Strategies. Understanding the impact of new regulations, creating compliance roadmaps and ensuring the organisation’s approach and policies are adapted.
  • Leading change management. Managing the implementation of changes required by new regulations which may involve systems, processes, training and decision making.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and influencing their understanding and support for compliance efforts.
  • Regulatory Intelligence. Staying informed about emerging regulatory trends, potential future changes and industry best practices.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

We are seeking professionals with:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in financial institutions, regulatory oversight, risk management, or similar roles.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability manage cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives
  • Proven experience in managing relationships with regulatory bodies and senior stakeholders
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach to compliance challenges
  • Change management expertise, with experience of leading and implementing organizational change initiatives
  • High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information Inclusive, collaborative, delivery-focused
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation skills. Professional English language skills.
