Our client is a growing engineering business delivering complex, technically driven projects for customers across a range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Engineering Project Manager to oversee projects from initial customer engagement through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in engineering project management who enjoys working across technical teams, coordinating multiple workstreams and ensuring projects are delivered to the required standards, within agreed timescales and budgets. The successful candidate will play an important role in bringing together engineering, design and delivery teams, maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring projects progress efficiently from concept through to implementation. Key Responsibilities Take responsibility for the planning, coordination and delivery of engineering projects from initial consultation through to final handover. Work closely with customers to establish project requirements, define deliverables and agree timelines. Coordinate internal engineering, design, mechanical and automation teams to ensure projects remain on track. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and progress reports. Monitor project performance, identifying potential risks, delays and resource requirements at an early stage. Maintain regular communication with customers and internal stakeholders, providing updates and resolving issues as they arise. Ensure project specifications, quality requirements and technical standards are met throughout delivery. Manage changes to project scope, ensuring their impact on cost, resources and deadlines is properly assessed. Work collaboratively with technical teams to overcome engineering challenges and find practical solutions. Support continuous improvement across project planning, communication and delivery processes. About You Our client is looking for an organised, commercially aware and technically minded professional who can manage complex projects while building positive relationships with customers and colleagues. Applicants should have: Previous experience managing projects within an engineering environment. A proven ability to coordinate technical teams and deliver projects against agreed deadlines and budgets. Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills. Experience communicating with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders. The ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to changing project requirements. A proactive approach to identifying risks and resolving delivery challenges. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ideally but not essential, applicants will also have previous hands-on experience in an engineering discipline before moving into project management. This could include mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, automation or a related technical environment. A relevant engineering qualification or project management qualification would be advantageous, as would experience working on complex engineering, manufacturing or automation projects.
