The Role
The Finance Assistant supports a range of key transactional finance tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the team. You will report directly to the Finance Director.
About You
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional seeking a fast-paced, varied role within a small team.
- Experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
- Exposure to credit control is part of your responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Ability to work confidently in a small team and manage your own workload
- A positive, hands-on attitude and willingness to support wider finance activity
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Checking and amending data in spreadsheets
- Filing of paperwork
- Casual payroll
- Reconciling the credit card statements, posting all charges to the ledger, and ensuring that cards don’t exceed their credit limits.
- Managing petty cash
Skills And Experience
- Confidence to communicate both internally & externally
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Any other accounting duties reasonably required by the Finance Director.
- Willingness to learn and desire to improve current processes
- Experience with Sage 50 accounts, Sage payroll, and Excel
Starting salary of £13,000 for 18.75 hours per week (£26,000 FTE)
33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) + up to 5 additional loyalty days
