Based in Dishforth, our client is a leading provider of environmental, animal and human health solutions and a key influencer in driving health and sustainability throughout the food chain. Our client has four manufacturing sites in the UK, from where they supply innovative nutritional solutions and technical expertise to producers through the farm, feed and food industry in the UK, Ireland, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australasia.
Role: Maintenance Engineer
Location: A-One (Onsite)
Hours: 40 hours per week Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday (4 x 10-hour shifts)
Salary: Approximately £39,000 per annum Circa

The engineers from time to time get call outs and so the payment is as follows for call outs: You will get £100 a month for being on call and call out payment is 3hrs for call out + the hours worked onsite.
The Role:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate for this day shift role will have responsibility of providing engineering support to the production team.
Responsibilities:
Carry out all planned, preventative and corrective maintenance tasks in accordance with maintenance systems
Investigate, root cause analyses and resolve problems relating to machines and provide support for process and quality issues
Ensure all related documentation & record keeping for the shift is up to date
Provide comprehensive breakdown information and actions taken to support the planned maintenance system
Adhere to all Health & Safety guidelines and requirements
Essential Criteria:
Time served qualification and a minimum of 2 years experience in a maintenance engineering
Role
Good working knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems
Good working knowledge of product transfer systems including elevators, drag-chain and auger feed systems
Experience in troubleshooting and fault finding
Good organisational and time management skills
An ability to work on own initiative but also to work collaboratively with others
Ability to work in a fast-paced production and engineering environment
Flexible and adaptable
Proactive and motivated with the ability to resolve intricate situations
Desirable Criteria:
Experience within a production/ manufacturing environment
Mechanically biased
