Trainee Wholesale Plants Production Operative
No Experience Needed
Location: Knaresborough (own transport required due to rural location)
Pay Rate: £13 per hour, increasing wage after 12 weeks to reflect training achievements
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Swift Temps Ltd is recruiting Trainee Production Operatives on behalf of our client, one of the UK's leading specialist plant growers and importers. This is an ideal first job opportunity; you don't need experience, qualifications, or previous knowledge. Full training will be provided from day one.
You’ll work as part of a friendly team, learning practical skills while working with plants in glasshouses, polytunnels, and outdoor growing areas.
What You’ll Learn on the Job
- Plant and care for young plants
- Use basic potting and transplanting equipment
- Prepare hanging baskets
- Pack, label, and prepare orders for customers
- Move plants safely around the site using trolleys
- Keep work areas clean, tidy, and organised
No task is done alone; you’ll be shown exactly what to do and supported as you learn.
