Team Swift are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assembly Technician to join our growing Development Centre team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about manufacturing and vehicle assembly, and wants to develop their skills within a fast-paced, dynamic and rewarding environment. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a key role in assembling high-quality vehicles within our modern production facility. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, hands-on and eager to learn, with a positive attitude and a genuine commitment to quality, teamwork and continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to be part of the growing popularity of the British staycation industry while working within an EPIC, modern manufacturing environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assembling parts and components including mouldings, furniture, metal fabrications, plumbing routings and electrical harnesses in line with standard operating procedures.
  • Using hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches and pneumatic tools safely and accurately.
  • Carrying out operator self-inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and reporting any defects or issues identified.
  • Reading and interpreting production work orders, technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Following standardised work instructions and supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Ensuring parts, tools and materials are handled, stored and identified correctly.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workstation in line with housekeeping and safety standards.
  • Participating in daily team meetings to review production targets, safety updates and improvement opportunities.
  • Operating equipment and machinery when required, including cranes and hydraulic vehicle lifts.
  • Completing required documentation and recording any non-conformances accurately.
  • Following all company Health & Safety procedures and wearing the appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Supporting the training and onboarding of new employees through a buddy-style system.
  • Champion our EPIC core values by positively working with others.
  • Supporting the needs of a fast-paced and demanding manufacturing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experienced within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Confident using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Hard-working, reliable and able to work within a fast-paced production environment.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Able to read and understand technical drawings, documents and work instructions.
  • A strong team player with good communication skills.
  • Proactive, motivated and willing to learn new skills.
  • Mechanically minded with good basic maths skills.
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime when required to meet production targets.

Hours: 37.5
