Join a Business Transforming its Future

Swift is the UK’s leading leisure vehicle manufacturer, renowned for innovation, quality craftsmanship, stylish design and exceptional customer service. With approximately 1,100 employees based primarily at our East Yorkshire manufacturing facility, alongside a network of hire depots across the UK, we continue to invest in our people, processes and technology to support future growth.

As part of a major business transformation programme, Swift is implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365, including Finance and Supply Chain Management, Field Service and Power BI, replacing a bespoke business system that has supported the organisation for more than 20 years.

We are now seeking a Dynamics 365 Data Administrator (Production) to become a key member of our Production team, helping to maintain the accurate, real-time production information required to support manufacturing performance and on-time delivery.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with experience in production control, manufacturing planning or progress chasing.

Using Microsoft Dynamics 365, you will monitor production orders as they move through the manufacturing process, ensuring that progress is accurately recorded, potential delays are identified early and completed work is correctly reported.

You will work closely with production supervisors, planners, stores, logistics, engineering and quality teams to resolve issues and maintain schedule adherence. You will also support the accurate monitoring of production-related incidents through Dynamics 365 Field Service.

The role provides an important connection between shop-floor activity, production planning and system data, helping leaders make timely decisions based on accurate information.

Key Responsibilities

Production Order Monitoring and Progress Chasing

  • Track production orders in Microsoft Dynamics 365 in line with shop-floor activity and the agreed production plan.
  • Monitor the progress of production orders, sub-assemblies and individual manufacturing operations.
  • Actively chase outstanding activities to maintain schedule adherence and support on-time delivery.
  • Ensure completed work is correctly recorded, reported as finished and closed within Dynamics 365.
  • Identify emerging delays, constraints and exceptions and escalate them to the appropriate production or support team.
  • Maintain clear visibility of work in progress and the current status of production orders.

Shortage Monitoring and Issue Escalation

  • Monitor material shortages and other constraints against the production plan.
  • Identify and escalate shortages to logistics, stores, planning and production teams.
  • Highlight risks that could affect production schedules or planned delivery dates.
  • Liaise with relevant teams to track shortages, constraints and recovery actions through to resolution.
  • Ensure production managers and supervisors receive timely and accurate updates on issues affecting their areas.

Production Data and System Accuracy

  • Accurately update production orders and operational status information within Dynamics 365.
  • Monitor the timely and accurate recording of:
    • Operation start and finish times
    • Labour bookings
    • Production quantities
    • Work-in-progress status
    • Completed and reported-as-finished production orders
  • Identify missing, late or inaccurate production transactions and work with operational teams to correct them.
  • Promote accurate and timely data capture across the shop floor.
  • Support consistent system use and high standards of transactional discipline.
  • Assist with maintaining the data quality required for operational reporting and decision-making.

Production Reporting and Operational Support

  • Produce accurate status information from Dynamics 365 to support daily and weekly production meetings.
  • Support the monitoring of production measures, including schedule adherence, work-in-progress control and on-time delivery.
  • Work closely with production supervisors, planners, stores, logistics, engineering and quality teams.
  • Help ensure that system information reflects the actual position on the shop floor.
  • Identify recurring issues or data trends that may require further investigation or improvement.

Continuous Improvement and Change

  • Identify opportunities to improve production-control processes, reporting and data accuracy.
  • Work with Production, IT and ERP colleagues to resolve recurring system or process issues.
  • Support testing activities for relevant Dynamics 365 changes and enhancements.
  • Assist with the introduction of revised production processes, system functionality and reporting requirements.
  • Provide practical feedback on how Dynamics 365 is being used within the production environment.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and accurate data capture.

About You

You will be a highly organised and proactive individual with a good understanding of manufacturing and production processes. You will be comfortable working in a fast-moving operational environment, following up actions and challenging incomplete or inaccurate information constructively.

You will enjoy working with production data, resolving issues and building effective relationships across different operational teams. You will understand that accurate and timely system information is essential to maintaining production flow and supporting on-time delivery.

  • Experience working with a range of production and operational stakeholders.

Desirable Experience

  • Hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience using Dynamics 365 Field Service or a comparable maintenance or incident-management system.

  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • Ability to follow up actions constructively and maintain momentum.

  • Confidence using Microsoft Excel and system-generated reports.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
  • Proactive, persistent and solutions-focused approach.
