We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our Central Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career within a supportive environment while gaining exposure to a wide range of accounting functions.

About the Role

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance function across the business. You will gain hands‑on experience in management accounts, financial reporting, and business processes, while working towards a professional accounting qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Produce and distribute monthly management information to the wider business
  • Support the preparation of statutory accounts and audit documentation
  • Perform bank reconciliations and post bank transactions
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and process associated entries
  • Assist with credit card and vehicle management processes
  • Complete monthly petty cash reconciliations and analysis
  • Prepare and submit statistical returns (ONS)
  • Support the implementation of a company‑wide ERP system
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects as directed by the Group Financial Controller
  • Build strong working relationships across the business
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to drive efficiencies

  • Study support provided towards a professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA)

About You

  • Degree educated (or equivalent)
  • Currently studying or planning to study towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems and Power BI is advantageous
