Senior Production Manager – Assembly

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Production Manager to join our team within Assembly Production. This is a challenging role within a fast paced environment which requires a dynamic individual with the confidence to drive change, the ideal candidate will be an excellent leader with the ability to coach and develop their team, building strong working relationships with key stakeholders.

Although experience of working in the Caravan/Motorhome industry is preferred we will consider applications from other industries providing you can demonstrate the right skills.

Main Responsibilities

• To lead and motivate a team of line managers to ensure production targets are met
• To ensure the quality standards of our products are adhered to
• Ensure strict adherence to operating systems (eg. OSI)
• Build relationships and challenge all areas of the business when necessary, improvements are key to success
• Maintain suitable and safe levels of housekeeping at all times within the working environment, including all walkway areas and machinery
• Communicate effectively and drive a company culture that is focused on quality, continuous improvement, development and high performance
• Ensure the workforce in your area are trained and competent to carry out tasks to the required standard
• Obtain results through staff by recruiting and selecting; inducting and training employees through the Academy provision, communicating role expectations, leading employees using the review and performance management systems, and providing clear feedback
• Ensure costs are considered with a decision making and drive continuous improvement wherever possible
• Maximise operating efficiency and labour hours

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

• CMI Level 3 essential. CMI level 5 or working towards
• Experience of leading and motivating a team of people
• Knowledge of production methods, quality and improvement techniques
• Excellent problem solving skills and a drive to succeed
• Good communication skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
• An ability to form strong relationships between departments
• Knowledge and experience in H&S within the workplace
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer literate
