Team Swift are recruiting for the role of a BOM Administrator who will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of an accurate bill of materials for manufacturing and aftersales within project and production timescales.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and organised individual who has can work well under pressure ensuring an excellent standard of attention to detail.

The product Development department generate and maintain engineering drawings and bill of materials for every model, hundreds of drawing are created, modified and issued every week.
- MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working with the Product Engineer for each product group to develop an engineering BOM for each model, providing the rest of the company with expertise and technical support.
- Ensure Safety critical and Type Approval components are accurately identified on databases and BOMS.
- Assisting the Project Manager and BOM Team Leader on measuring the progress of projects by compiling and assessing KPI's and Critical Data information.
- Create and maintain bills of material with the aid of the Product Engineer for new products.
- Assess cost, weight and complexity of new models and refine such information during product execution.
- Liaise with other members of the project team to resolve process & operational issues that inhibit effective project delivery.
- Adopt best practice tools & techniques for project information work in order to maximise efficiency and quality of output.
- Link and update parts for the Aftersales and IDOL data base systems with the latest data and photographic images.
- Support the D&D Technical Support Team with information and support with direct communication with customers and dealers when requested.
- Compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5 GCSE or equivalent in English & Math and a high standard of further education (ONC or HNC level preferable)
- Additional qualifications or evidence of training in Data Management would be an advantage
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with data management systems is preferable
- Familiar with BOM & database tools techniques
- Familiar with Microsoft Office programmes (Excel, Word etc)
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Ability to work well under pressure to achieve deadlines
- High level of accuracy in work and strong attention to detail
- Flexible, adaptable, enthusiastic and motivated
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
