This is a fantastic opportunity for a Computer Science specialist who is confident teaching across KS3, KS4 and KS5, including A-Level Computer Science. The school are keen to meet suitable teachers as soon as possible and can arrange interviews or trial days ahead of September.
The Role
- You will take responsibility for teaching Computer Science across the school, delivering engaging lessons, maintaining strong classroom routines, and supporting pupils to make strong progress in their learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5
- Teach Computer Science confidently up to A-Level
- Maintain strong classroom management and positive learning routines
- Support pupils’ academic progress, confidence and subject knowledge
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and the wider department
- Follow school policies around behaviour, safeguarding and assessment
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative school culture
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level
- Confidence teaching Computer Science up to KS5 / A-Level
- Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
- A flexible, proactive and professional approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Availability for a September start
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
- Right to Work in the UK
