Swift Education are working in partnership with a highly regarded specialist SEND school to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher for a permanent position starting in September. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism. The successful candidate for this role will be passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.
The Key Stage 2 Teacher Role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to Key Stage 2 pupils within a specialist SEND setting. The role requires a creative, adaptable and proactive teacher who can provide a structured and nurturing learning environment tailored to individual needs.
The Ideal Candidate for this Key Stage 2 Teacher role will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) β essential
- Previous experience teaching pupils with SEND, particularly autism
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A patient, resilient and positive approach
- The ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- A collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams and families
- The energy and enthusiasm to participate in a practical, active school environment
Due to the nature of the role and the needs of the pupils, candidates should be comfortable working in a physically active setting and be able to support pupils throughout the school day.
Please Note: This position is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs). Applicants should have prior teaching experience and a proven ability to work effectively within a SEND environment.
