Safeguarding Culture at Swift
We believe that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, whilst being fully aware that ‘it could happen here’.
We also recognise that this can happen to anyone, regardless of demographic, from disadvantaged to affluent areas. It is essential that our Learners, their guardians, Employers, and our Employees feel supported, valued, listened to, and protected from harm, empowering them to make positive choices and protect themselves. To achieve this, we must foster a culture in which young people can speak out and share their concerns with staff.
Our safeguarding focus for 2026:
In 2025, our DSL saw that safeguarding isn’t just about the role; it is about creating a culture of confidence and awareness throughout the whole Swift team. Without the wider team having confidence in the safeguarding team, reporting wouldn’t happen. Safeguarding is about building a culture of trust and shared responsibility, to make a change to the futures of the young people we are supporting.
Our focus will be to continue building confidence among all staff through CPD sessions and to ensure our systems work well and continue to strengthen as the business grows.
