Swift Childcare are a training provider based in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham, seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant to support learners within the virtual learning environment. This role is ideal for an experienced Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting learners with a range of abilities and learning needs, while working alongside education professionals such as tutors, support coaches, and EPA (End-Point Assessment) leads. You will play a key role in helping create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning experience, supporting learners both academically and personally to help them reach their full potential.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support tutors and training staff in delivering engaging learning sessions tailored to individual learner needs.
- Work with learners on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to support literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum activities, via the virtual learning environment.
- Provide targeted support for learners with additional needs, including SEND helping them access learning effectively.
- Assist support coaches in promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and participation in sessions.
- Support the preparation of learning resources and training materials.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with learners to support confidence, motivation, and independence.
- Support monitoring of learner progress and provide feedback to tutors and Success and Engagement Manager.
- Assist EPA leads where required, supporting learners in preparation for assessments and progression.
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive learning behaviours at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people/adults in an education or training setting.
- Experience supporting SEND learners is desirable.
- Experience of online delivery/support is desirable.
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, supportive, and adaptable approach.
- Confident working independently and as part of a wider training team.
- Passionate about supporting learner development and achievement.
- Reliable, professional, and a positive role model.
