Just finished your A Levels — or a gifted GCSE leaver ready to start work? Join SWG Construction’s finance team as a Finance Apprentice / Junior Accounts Assistant and earn while you learn. You’ll gain hands-on experience, a supportive team, and fully funded AAT Level 2 & 3 qualifications.
We welcome applications from:
- A-level leavers who want to start a career in finance or accountancy
- Gifted GCSE school leavers with strong grades in Maths and English
- Those seeking an accounting apprenticeship or trainee accountant role in a supportive environment
- Process purchase invoices – matching, coding, archiving, and resolving queries
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ledgers
- Process payroll timesheets and staff expense claims
- Prepare and raise customer sales invoices
- Create financial schedules, reports, and reconciliations
- Match receipts to company credit card statements
- Assist with month-end closing and year-end accounts preparation
- Support purchase order processing and petty cash management
- Liaise with commercial, operations, and site teams
- Answer finance queries and carry out general office administration
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail
- Able to work effectively in a finance team
- Basic bookkeeping knowledge
- Organisation and time management skills
Qualifications
- A Levels or equivalent – OR gifted GCSE candidate with strong grades, including Maths and English
- Minimum 5 GCSEs at grades A*–C / 9–4 (including Maths and English)

- Able to study independently outside working hours
