We are seeking enthusiastic people to join our Health Records Logistics team, supporting the provision of our three services: Logistics, Health Records and storage. This role is predominantly transport; for this reason, a Full UK clean driving license is needed. The role involves moving and handling and physical activity.
Main duties of the job:
- As part of a team, carry out manual lifting and handling and administrative duties in relation to Health Records, Storage and Logistics.
- Ensure best practice is maintained at all times, with support from the Team Leader and Department manager.
- This job will be physically demanding at times.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities:
- Storage: Collect all items for storage from trust departments on request, record location of storage items on spreadsheet, check contents of all boxes, contact department if inappropriate items stored, retrieve paperwork or items from storage boxes, investigate and find paperwork for areas that have not made a list of contents, ensure the storage facility is clean and tidy.
- Transport: Drive and take responsibility of the trust vehicles, inform manager immediately should you be given any points on your licence, read and adhere to Workplace Transport Policy, deliver and collect daily from various locations, maintain trust vehicles including ensuring electric cars are fully charged and clean.
- Health Record Duties: Print lists for specific forthcoming clinics, pull Patient Healthcare Records (PHCR) for specific clinics, deliver PHCR to Scanning Bureau, process deceased PHCR, track deceased records, register new patients to the Trust, amend demographic details on Lorenzo, monitor A&E Unknown patient folders, prepare new folders for Major Incidents patients.
- All Other Duties: Maintain patient confidentiality, track PHCR using the computerised system, perform general administrative duties, report all incidents, photocopy, and frequently use a VDU.

- Qualifications: Must have literacy and numeric skills, provide evidence of computer skills, NVQ II or equivalent level knowledge.
- Experience: Driving/Storage experience, previous clerical experience, knowledge of working to deadlines.
- Skills: Articulate and able to communicate clearly, good interpersonal skills, able to work effectively as a team member, understanding of confidentiality.
- Personal Qualities: Recognises own limitations, receptive to change, flexible, demonstrate and use own initiative.
- Other: Clean Driving Licence, keen to develop personal skills.
