Overview

As an Electrical operational lead, assist the Head of Estates in the operational management of the Trust's estate at the designated site(s), including all building and Electrical systems and for ensuring that these are maintained to the appropriate NHS and statutory standards in order to deliver a high quality care environment for the Trust's patients.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the provision of an efficient, effective and safe patient‑focused maintenance service, within the allocated budgets, using directly employed staff and contractors, and through the development of suitable operational plans and maintenance programmes.
  • Ensure that engineering maintenance, including contract work, is carried out to appropriate standards and specifications.
  • Act as Lead Authorised Person for the SWFTCS and/or Authorised Person (AP) in relation to specific maintenance responsibilities such as High Voltage electrical, Low Voltage electrical, Lifts and Fire Alarm systems.
  • Implement and maintain the physical assets register; oversee minor schemes and capital work.
  • Lead the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the maintenance and repair services within the remit.
  • Provide expert specialist and professional building and electrical/engineering expertise to other estates staff, directors, and senior management of the organisation, and advise external agencies.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive maintenance, repair and installation services for building, grounds, engineering services and associated equipment throughout the Trust.

Employment Conditions

The role is Monday‑Friday with opportunities for overtime and weekend working, participation in an emergency on‑call rota, and start and finishing times 8.00 am to 4.00 pm.

Compensation

£51,598 per annum (spot salary). A higher starting salary may be considered for candidates with exceptional skills and experience relevant to the role.
