Opportunity to join the fast‑paced and dynamic Outpatient Pharmacy team at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire. The role supports timely sourcing and supply of medicines, ensures patient needs are met while optimising cost efficiency and effective supply chain management. It requires a proactive and organised individual committed to delivering a high‑quality customer experience and supporting safe, effective, and patient‑centred service for patients and service users.
Responsibilities
- Release orders, receive & check off stock.
- Chase missing orders, “to‑follows”, owing items and monitor stock shortages with the procurement lead.
- Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and on time, communicate issues as appropriate, and attend meetings as required.
- Suggest improvements to processes using best practices.
- Maintain excellent working relationships and good communication with patients and Trust employees.
- Ensure confidentiality of commercial and clinical information, comply with GDPR and Freedom of Information legislation.
- Manage personal training and development.
- Adhere to Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities, and other relevant legislation.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- GCSE at C grade or above in Maths and English.
Experience
- Previous outpatient pharmacy experience.
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience.
- Medical consumables product knowledge.
- Knowledge of pharmacy ordering and stock management systems including JAC.
- Supply chain knowledge.
Skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

- Able to work well in a team.
- Ability to work calmly and competently under pressure and achieve deadlines, escalating issues as required.
- Confident and articulate.
- Self‑motivated and able to prioritise work to achieve deadlines without compromising quality.

- Requirement to lift and handle boxes of varying shapes, sizes and weights during the process of stock reads and put‑away.
